Among our drug and alcohol treatment programs are three varying levels of outpatient treatment: Partial Day Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Outpatient Programs (OP).
PARTIAL DAY
Partial Day Rehab, also known as a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), occurs five days a week, five to six hours per day at our Costa Mesa Rehab.
PHP is designed for clients who do not require residential detoxification and are ready to begin their road to recovery. In PHP, clients meet with a case manager and therapist weekly while attending group therapy sessions and 12-step programs.
PHP allows the person in recovery to improve their mental health and develop a relapse prevention plan. The client is allowed the time they need for self-discovery, to heal trauma, and address underlying causes of addiction.

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT
Intensive Outpatient Rehab occurs three to five days a week, up to three hours a day.
IOP is designed for clients who have a developed recovery program and relapse prevention plan. It is also best suited for those who have established a support system. IOP is less structured and more flexible than PHP, but more structured than regular outpatient treatment.
In our Intensive Outpatient Program in Costa Mesa, clients may meet with our clinical team of therapists and case managers. Clients will have weekly sessions with their therapist and case manager while participating in group therapy at least three times a week.
Traditionally, a client may graduate from a PHP program down to an IOP program. Occasionally, a client may attend an intensive outpatient program following a medically supervised drug detox.
OUTPATIENT
Outpatient Rehab (OP) occurs one to three days a week, with three hours per session.
Outpatient rehab is designed for clients who have gone through more intensive programs such as PHP or IOP. Recovering individuals in outpatient addiction treatment have the flexibility to work on career development after treatment while still receiving drug counseling.
Our Costa Mesa Outpatient Rehab is great for those in recovery striving for long-term sobriety. Outpatient programs provide accountability and weekly therapy for the recovering individual early in their sobriety needs to prevent relapse.
